We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Sales Manager to join our Corporate Lending team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, identifying new lending opportunities and managing relationships with corporate clients. This role will involve providing tailored lending solutions to meet the financial needs of businesses across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development: Identify and target new corporate clients for lending products (e.g., term loans, revolving credit, trade finance).
Build and manage a robust pipeline of potential clients through proactive outreach, networking and lead generation.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients, acting as the primary point of contact for their lending needs.
Understand client requirements and provide customized financial solutions to help them achieve their business goals.
Product Knowledge & Sales: Promote and sell corporate lending products and services, ensuring deep knowledge of the product offerings, market trends, and competitor landscape.
Provide guidance and support to clients on the loan application process, eligibility and documentation.
Credit Assessment & Risk Management: Collaborate with the credit and risk teams to assess client applications, ensure accurate documentation and facilitate timely approval of loans.
Understand credit risk factors and work to mitigate risks associated with lending.
Market Analysis & Reporting: Keep up to date with industry trends, economic conditions and regulatory changes affecting corporate lending.
Provide regular reports on sales performance, market opportunities and key client metrics to management.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as legal, compliance, and operations to ensure smooth loan processing and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in corporate lending, banking, or financial services.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
Strong understanding of corporate lending products and services.
Excellent sales and negotiation skills with a consultative approach to client relationships.
Knowledge of financial analysis, credit assessment and risk management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Fluent in English, with proficiency in Mandarin or other languages being a plus (depending on the client base).
Experience working with corporate clients in industries such as manufacturing, trade or services.
Knowledge of Singapore’s financial regulatory environment (e.g., MAS regulations).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
