Responsibilities
Analog Photonics is seeking talented and motivated individuals to lead the IT infrastructure at our company. The company is currently 30 employees with a predominance of Windows 10 laptops/desktops, and also Macs and Red Hat Linux servers. The company is has government contracts requiring NIST-800 compliance.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Duties include the following:
- Access control: maintaining an Acceptable Use policy and creating appropriate limits on account access
- User security awareness: organize yearly training for cybersecurity awareness
- Auditing: establish a clear auditing procedure and schedule
- Configuration management: document the network and maintain hardware and software inventories; ensure all software is regularly patched
- Identification and authorization: maintain clear password policies and multifactor authentication as appropriate
- Incident response: organize annual incident response test, annual incident response training for users, and schedule reviews of logs to detect compromise
- Maintenance: maintain a maintenance schedule for all systems, and document with a maintenance log
- Media protection: Ensure that sensitive media is properly stored/encrypted and marked, maintain full system backups
- Personnel: Work with HR on account creation, and maintain clear personnel exit procedures
- Physical security: Review physical access, ensure employees at alternative work sites (such as private residences) have mechanisms to communicate security incidents
- Risk assessment: organize annual Security Risk Assessment including vulnerability scanning, with documentation
- Security assessment: organize annual Security Assessment with associated documentation, manage real-time network monitoring tool
- System and Information Integrity: monitor vulnerability disclosures/advisories regularly and ensure systems are patched systems as appropriate; maintain anti-virus software
- System and Communication Protection: review firewalls and review event logging, maintain encryptions/VPN used for remote traffic
- Manage the supervision of necessary consultants and contractors to meet the above tasks
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BS in IT and/or cybersecurity
- Experience with Linux/UNIX patching
- Experience with NIST-800 compliance
- Good teamworking and communication skills
