We are ControlAir Systems (www.controlairsystems.com). For over 50 years, we have served the Massachusetts & NH areas as a Full-Service Commercial HVAC Contractor. We are currently seeking an AR/AP specialist to join our growing team and become a key part of our continued success.
Position Summary:
The AR/AP Specialist will support the accounting team to ensure efficient AR/AP processes and controls are in place. This position will be a critical hands-on player and assist with several key initiatives related to system implementations, migration, and accurate and timely AR/AP accounting functions. They will participate in growing a highly scalable, best-in-class organization as a key partner with the CAS accounting team.
Location: In person M-F 8AM-4:30PM, Burlington, MA
Type: Full time Permanent Position.
Pay: Up to $85K DOE.
Position Responsibilities:
- Process AR/AP and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements.
- Work closely with ControlAir Systems accounting and operations team to facilitate efficient and accurate work including WIP, AIA Billing and job costing.
- Help identify opportunities for cost reduction, cost savings and client engagement.
- Support team with key strategic and process improvement initiatives.
- Champion a culture of high performance and integrity
Position Requirements:
- 2 years of prior accounting experience specifically with AR/AP in a construction or contractor environment
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience.
- Systems proficiency, ability to navigate multiple platforms.
- Ability to communicate accounting and financial information using common language.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Highly motivated, able to take initiative, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- High energy, ownership of work product and dedication to driving results in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical – finds meaning and action in numbers and is data-driven.
- Excellent communicator – written and oral
- Impeccable integrity and ethical standards
- Self-aware, accepting, honest, open, and respectful.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum
- Experience with Construction/Contractor accounting
