Our family owned and operated company is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at our Prairieville location.

Job Responsibilities

• Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
• Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
• Analyzing workflow processes
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Processing due invoices for payments
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• 1-year accounting experience
• Advanced proficiency with Excel software
• Ability to effectively perform in an advanced, fast-paced environment both individually as well as part of a team
• Needs to be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, strong communication skills and a positive and helpful demeanor
• Ability to routinely lift and move objects weighing up to 20 lbs
• Must pass drug and alcohol screen
