The Musco - Iowa Sports Turf department is seeking a Business Development Representative to work from our Urbandale location. The primary purpose of this position is to be member of the Dev/International Sales Team focused on the development and implementation of products and sales strategies. Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Generate strong customer engagement to explore and develop products and services that meet their needs
  • Develop strong communication networks and good rapport with the sales team to appropriately price, market and execute sales strategy
  • Ensure information and documentation in sales database is current, accurate and maintained
  • Listen to customer's needs and gather feedback to share necessary information with the development team
  • Work with design and manufacturing team to ensure quality, performance and expectations are being achieved
  • Plan and prepare presentations to educate customers
  • Work with the marketing team to create appropriate literature, promotions and advertising that aligns with the developmental strategy
  • Establish and implement short and long-range product development and sales goals.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements

  • College degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • 5-10 years of sales experience
  • Strong understanding and proven success with the Musco sales process

Job Specifications

  • Must be self-directed and able to make informed decisions independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present in front of groups
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, ability to manage project workload as it relates to meetings, customer visits, project deadlines and internal communications
  • Tenacious, able to persevere through sales challenges and setbacks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices and the ability to learn internal software programs and applications
  • Able to learn, understand and teach technical concepts and information

Other Special Requirements

Domestic travel will be necessary and likely increase after implementation as you continue to educate customers and be a resource for the Operational Sales Team.
