**MUST HAVE PLUMBING BOOKKEEPING EXPERIENCE**
A full-charge bookkeeper for Staggs Plumbing handles a comprehensive range of financial and accounting tasks, often encompassing the responsibilities of an accountant and sometimes a financial manager.
1. Accounts Receivable and Payable:
- Manage billing and invoicing for services provided.
- Track and collect payments from customers.
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile accounts and handle any discrepancies.
2. Payroll Management:
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, overtime, and deductions.
- Handle tax withholdings, garnishments, and benefits administration.
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns.
3*. Financial Reporting:*
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Generate financial reports for management review and decision-making.
4*. Bank Reconciliation: *
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure consistency with company records.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of the company's budget.
- Monitor actual performance against the budget and provide variance analysis.
6. Tax Preparation and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax and corporate tax.
7. General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate and timely entries.
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
8. Inventory Management:
- Track inventory levels of plumbing supplies and materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers for inventory purchases and manage stock levels.
9. Job Costing:
- Track expenses and revenues for individual plumbing jobs.
- Analyze job cost and profitability.
10. Internal Controls:
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
11. Software Management:
- Use accounting software ( QuickBooks Online) for daily transactions and financial management.
- Train and support other staff in using financial software.
12. Audit Preparation:
- Prepare documents and support external audits.
- Assist auditors in understanding the company's financial practices and records.
13. Customer and Vendor Relations:
- Manage relationships with customers and vendors regarding billing, payments, and accounts.
- Resolve any billing or payment issues.
14. Financial Analysis:
- Provide insights and analysis on financial trends, business performance, and potential areas for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.

- Quickbooks ONLINE Experience
- 6 Years of Plumbing Bookkeeping Experience
- National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB)
- American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB)
- Must be a certified bookkeeper with credentials
- House call pro experience and homebase experience is a plus!
