Job Description:
Summer Seasonal Position
Applicant must be a current college student.
This role will work closely with the Special Events Manager and Film and Photography Manager and relieve a small team of employees of clerical work and minor administrative duties.
Examples of Duties
- Works with Tourism Managers to review Special Events and Film and Photography permit applications.
- Organizes and maintains file system for Special Events and Film and Photography permit applications.
- Interacts with applicants to request additional information if applications are incomplete or additional documents are required.
- Utilizes the Government Portal software to assist with data entry and database management.
- Documents the key discussions, decisions, and action items that occur during meetings for Special Events Committee and Film and Photography activities.
- Updates citizen facing and internal calendars for Special Events and Film and Photography activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Current college student pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Available to work 10 to 15 hours per week for 8 weeks from June – August.
Other Necessary Requirements:
- In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs.
- May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
