Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices, excellent data entry skills, and proficiency in accounting software.
Duties
- Process and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system with a focus on 10 key typing accuracy
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of accounts payable transactions
- Collaborate with internal departments to address payment inquiries and issues
- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information while adhering to corporate accounting standards
Experience
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role is preferred
- Familiarity with technical accounting principles and corporate accounting practices is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
