JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing services and support in multiple functional areas of Human Resources.

Essential Function

• Review job candidates by screening, interviewing, and testing applicants; obtaining work authorization
• Provide assistance to payroll, as needed
• Review and update HR and employee related forms to ensure forms are current and compliant and all company related entities are using current and consistent forms
• Maintaining records by recording new hires, transfers terminations, changes in job classification, pay increases, tracking vacation, sick and personal time
• Conducting new employee orientation, providing information packets, and reviewing company policies and practices
• Administer employee benefits by advising of employee eligibility, explaining/obtaining signatures for elected benefits and date entry elections
• Advertising open positions across multiple channels
• Collaborate with various departments in regards to employee relations
• Support all internal and external employment related inquires or requests
• Performing general office duties such as organizing, managing supply inventory, greeting clients, and scheduling meetings/events
• All other duties as assigned

Competencies

• Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data/information appropriately
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Work independently and within a team environment
• Ability to prioritize, stay on task and meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment where change occurs frequently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate through all levels of the organization
• Detail orientated, organized, reliable, and resourceful

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 year or more experience working in an office environment

Salary : $16 - $22
