Senior Barista

Job Summary:

The Head Barista is responsible for leading the barista team, ensuring top-quality coffee preparation, maintaining excellent customer service, and overseeing the daily operations behind the bar. This role involves training staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring consistency in all beverages served.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages according to company standards.
• Lead and support the barista team, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow during shifts.
• Train new baristas and provide ongoing coaching on coffee techniques and customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and surrounding areas.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, and other supplies; place orders as needed.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of coffee machines and grinders.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any complaints in a professional manner.
• Maintain quality control and consistency in beverage presentation and taste.
• Assist in developing seasonal or specialty drink menus.
• Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience as a barista; 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso equipment, and latte art.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Passion for coffee and customer service.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of inventory management and ordering processes.
• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.
